I liked the quick growth period it took to restore my lawn after the drought we experienced this past winter in Colorado. The Kentucky blue grass seed by Pennington produced a thick green lawn in about 30 days. All i had to do was water the seed i put down three times daily. Iwas amazed at how fast it grew! The growth of grass was phenomenal!

Four years and still happy!!
Would RecommendI seeded this grass four years ago. I had no issues with germination or weeds and still have no issues with the grass. The reason I bought this grass seed is that it was certified as a highly drought tolerant Kentucky bluegrass mix. I do have sprinkler irrigation here in Colorado and find that it works best to let the grass show that it needs water and then switch the controller on that night, then off the next day. This grass has not let me down. It is an attractive dark green and well-adapted ...

Would RecommendMaybe it's meant to be grown in Kentucky. I have two bare patches in my lawn and I tried seeding one with another brand and this stuff. I now have two bare patches in my lawn with seed 1/4" or so below the surface and otherwise zip to show for it. I don't know how smart seeds have to be, but these don't quite grasp the fact they're supposed to grow after planting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this seed as a booster for my usual lawn treatment and I can tell a subtle difference where I put it - grass looks more deep emerald green vs the other spots. It is tough to get a good gauge though as we've had a dry spell here lately with hot temps and while the grass is doing well I imagine more rain really would've helped better tell if this works more than others! Would probably try again though!
