Very Good Saw

I used this saw to cut down a large Elm tree. Everything except the oiler works great. In my opinion, the chain is not getting enough oil. I had to take the cover off and look at the hole where the oil comes out to make sure. During sawing, I look at the chain and bar, and it looks dry to me. There may be a film of oil on there. I know it's working because I have to fill it back up.

Great saw for the money.

It only good as how long your cord is. But great saw for the money. Easy to tighten chain and sharpen.

Great chainsaw

I used the chainsaw today for about two hours. It was perfect for cutting logs about eight inches in diameter. I had no problems at all. I bought two 50ft 12/3 extension cords, so I had no overheating or problems. It cuts very good and it’s light weight.

A lot of power cuts anything

Absolutely amazing chain saw for the money and power this thing has definitely exceeded my expectations by far.

Great Value, Cuts like a charm!

Model not in store for me to feel how heavy it was, so it's a little heavy for me (I'm a small woman) but I love it!

This thing rules!

We had a big, diseased, tree fall down during a storm. Our gardeners couldn't send out a crew and I knew that the tree companies would charge me a lot of money. So I bought the CS1500 from Lowe's. With my Lowe's card the whole thing set me back a little over $100, including tax and shipping. A perfect chainsaw for amateurs like me

If you'll be working within an extension-cord's length, this easy-to-use chainsaw is probably all you need. It's an absolute bargain. It's easy to use and maintain. And it's powerful — it cuts better than most gas-powered saws I've used in the past. The built-in sharpener is a big convenience.

Great Saw… But

I have bought my last gas chain saw. This electric chain saw gut through 12-20” diameter logs with ease. The chain on this saw is wicked. However replacement chains are pricy. I also like the brake stop on the chain which is much safer. What I don’t like is the cap to the oil reservoir has two flat sides on the plastic threads. It’s a stupid design and now the cap want close properly. Keeps trying to cross thread. Otherwise I would have given saw a five star.

Just stopped working

I spent a lot of time researching both gas and electric chain saws and decided on the Oregon CS1500 electric saw. My choice was made on a number of factors but primarily on the features of this saw other brands do not offer and the Oregon brand name. Following the setup instructions exactly I proceeded to make several cuts to an overgrown crepe myrtle which took a total of two minutes. The saw worked flawlessly. A very good saw easy to use the extra plus is the sharpening stone. Just lift the lever to get it sharp

Great Saw

I've not owned an electric chain saw until now. I was tired of hassling with mixed gas so I thought I would give saw this a try. I'm glad I did. It cuts through logs like butter, super sharp blade. Chain stays tight to the bar. I love that when you disengage the trigger, the saw stops. When you're done, just unplug, brush the saw off, and put it away. It does tend to leak some bar chain oil - just like nearly all of my gas operated ones had.
