Ratings & Reviews for Oldcastle 0.33 Cubic yard(s) Gravel

Great price for product and ease of putting out by yourself!

not what was sold for last 7 years.

product completely changed so topping off the 60 1000pound bags of river rock pea gravel I bought prior to this order is out of the question. it is no longer available. there is also 2 different colors of this crushed granite. if you order you need to hand pick and put your name on the ones being delivered to your house or job.

Pea Gravel changed at my Lowes its now gray

Purchased several bags of off White Drainage rock a year ago. Now what Lowes is selling with the same Productid is a gray chipped Slate material not a roundish Pea Gravel that I was looking for. After the bag was loaded on the Truck and I saw it was different I had them remove the bag and I had to stand in line for a refund.

Pea Gravel is my friend

The 1000 pound bag is almost big enough for projects, so buy 2 if you need to. i am glad that unlike the orange store, Lowes carries the big bags!

Bulk Limestone Crushed Rocks!

Convenient bulk bag weighs +/- 1k pounds perfect to be loaded in a small truck bed. All purpose stones, compact well and are easy to spread with hand tools. White stones are smaller and more economical than bagged marble chips (about 18 bags equivalent). Great for driveways and spreading around the home - Awesome!

It's a Bag of Rocks

4 Stars because while they are solid, they're a bit smaller and smoother than what I thought I'd purchased. What I received looks more like river pebbles, which isn't much of an issue - these are going to be used for drainage in my side yard.

Overpriced Quantity

The product is chipped limestone gravel - clean, washed and bagged in 1000 lb +/- woven poly bags - at $40/ bag = approximately $80/Ton... ridiculous pricing - gouging even.

Pea Gravel grew into Potato size!

I purchased this as Pea gravel and that was the description on the bag. I have purchased this in the past and it was small. This bag contained gravel that was much larger that specified and much larger than the Pea Gravel I wanted.

Good title including "drainage rock"

What I needed in bulk at a good price. Did not find anywhere else. Used as a capillary break under a 'floating' floor to keep moisture from soaking up from the ground to the plywood subfloor. Very clean. Don't you want the bag back? Almost too heavy for a small 'half ton' truck but made it OK. Probably 900+ lbs. Better if more round pebbles and less angular rock as a true capillary barrier rock.

Lot of gravel for the buck

I needed about 15 cubic feet of gravel to make a hot tub pad. These 0.33 cu yard bags (about 9 cubic feet) were much cheaper than buying individual 50 pounds bags. My Lowes carries this rock in 3/8" and 3/4" sizes. The bag is about 1000lb. My Lowes keeps the bags in the parking lot and they use a fork lift to put the bag in the back of your truck. I have a small pickup and it sagged quite a bit, but handled one bag at a time no problem. There was very little dirt in the rock and the size ...

Good drainage rock

We bought this to fill a French drain and it looks nice and working well, especially with all the rain we had recently!

Better than expected

I know drainage gravel isn't purchased for how it looks but for its purpose. Thats what I bought it for. Well it was icing on the cake when it arrived and it was also authentically pleasing also! Thanks Lowes!

Bulk Gravel

Good value and they loaded it in my trailer with a fork lift. Great service at my Franklin Lowe's.

Lowes service team and delivery team are very good

I purchased both of OLDCASTLES gravels. Both of them are good and colorful after water wishing. Both of Lowes Service Team and delivery team were great. I'm very happy with Lowes products and service.

Wrong rock being sold as pea gravel

I purchased a 1000lb bag marked pea gravel (item #152950 - sku #874917) and after unloading it and starting to spread it with other pea gravel from Lowes, idiscovered it was the much larger river rock. Brought this to attention of employees in building products who informed management. Meanwhile, I'm out one bag of pea gravel and had to dump the river rock in a ditch on my property.

This is a great option for small projects

You can’t beat this when you are laying pea gravel in small gardens for walkways.

Bulk Gravel

Easy delivery and dispersal with the tube on the bottom of the bag.
