Would RecommendI had to cut a hole in the drywall to install a new gas line. Since a shut-off valve would be installed behind the wall, I wanted too access it in the future. This panel was perfect. The panel is strong and lightweight and takes paint well. It has a spacious border frame that allows you to cover slight imperfections in cutting the wall. It snaps in place temporarily, but needs to be secured to work well. I covered the back edge with adhesive caulk and glued it to the drywall, holding it in place...

Would RecommendI used this panel for access to a water shut off valve for an outdoor spigot. It does the job and looks good for now but I have reservations about long term durability especially if it was used to access something kore frequently than twice a year.

A few minutes to prep for installation, certainly is worth more than all the trouble to remove wall materials and search for plumbing problems. I installed two Oatey access panels in a wall behind a walk in shower. A little extra work to install but provides “peace of mind” for later on with plumbing.
