The Rug That Came Apart Before Use: Melrose Checked Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so disappointed. This rug actually began to unravel from one of its sides the moment I took that plastic bag off the carpet roll. There was nothing I could I could do to get it to stop . This is NOT a high traffic area so this is very troubling to me. It appears that the fabric was too tightly bound because it literally is coming apart on its own - without anyone touch this area or walking on this area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this runner to put in our entryway into our basement and with a lot of dirt tracked in, this is perfect and hides the dirt well, easy to sweep and take care of and goes with my downstairs flooring.

Lovemy new rug!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Melrose Checked Rig fits perfectly in the entry way. It is soft and feels great on bare feet. Perfect thickness to protect the wood floor and add a bit of class as people come in our home. The dog loves napping on it, too!

Beautiful color but horrible quality

I purchased this rug about 1 year ago and although the coloring is beautiful, it has been shedding non-stop since it arrived despite reading that the shedding should stop after 3 months. This has not been the case at all and I have needed to vacuum constantly to keep the house clean since there are rug fibers everywhere. It also snags very easily just from my dog walking on it or from vacuuming (without the beater) which make the rug look like its dirty even after vacuuming. I'm very disappointe...

Prickly to walk on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the look of the rug and thickness but it definitely has more of a brown tint to the grey also feels like I’m walking on wood chips not soft to walk on don’t recommend for a bedroom or living room maybe a mud room.

Even better than expected!

Looks good and is soft, but doesn’t hold up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited about this rug but after a few months, it has not held up at all. Knotted loops are fraying, sheds like crazy, can’t withstand basic cleaning without falling apart. Super disappointed.

Sheds fibers continuously and extremely itchy

Avoid purchasing. This carpet sheds fibers constantly and cause itchy reaction to anyone who touches the carpet.

I love the design and look of this rug, unfortunately it has not stopped snagging since we bought it.

Stinky upon arrival

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rug is so stinky and smells like hay. I aired it out for 2 weeks outside and it still smells. Now I'm not sure what to do with it as it stinks up the entire house once I bring it inside.

Snags and Shedding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look of this rug however, it snags exceptionally easily and sheds fibers non-stop. We have had it for over 4 months with multiple vacuums per week and it still fills up the entire vacuum bin. Honestly, if I could return it I would.
