Stains easily/hard to clean
I loved this rug as soon as we got it - the look is perfect and the quality is great. The only issue is this rug is near impossible to clean. We put it in a high traffic area (as we heard jute rugs are great for this) but we quickly learned this was a terrible idea. If you spill anything on the rug, even water, it will more than likely stain. You cannot use any carpet cleaning sprays or it will stain. If you do get it wet, you need to blow dry the stain so it doesn't set in and ruin it. I ended ...

Happy with purchase
This rug is the color and texture I expected. Since it is a natural fiber there are some "imperfections" when I rolled the rug out but they do not bother me. This is my first jute rug so I really have nothing to compare it to. There was no smell or "sand" I read about in other reviews. I am glad I took a chance on it!

Looks great at a great price
We put this lovely sisal and black linen rug under our heavily used dining room table. I used a fabric protector to try and keep it from staining. After about a week of use it's holding up really nicely. We'll see how it goes moving forward! But it defines the space really well, and the muted yellow of the rug goes well with our hardwood floors.

This rug lasted for about 2.5 years for us until I had to throw it out because of all the stains. Jute stains really easily! My boyfriend spilled a glass of water on the rug and it was stained forever. Then, we got a puppy and every mark is permanent. So, if you have kids or pets or are putting this rug in a high traffic area, you may rethink this rug and/or jute, unless you're OK with buying a new one in a couple years.
