That means that every footstep, vacuum, or move across it leaves an imprint. It is also VERY slippery. If you're in socks, you can slide right across the room. The 8'x10' rug was shipped, folded up, in a box. I couldn't believe there was a rug inside. When I unpacked it, I thought it was just a big beach towel.
