This rug is gorgeous! I absolutely love it and so does everyone that sees it. Because it is a cowhide, I knew to purchase a rug pad to go underneath it. While it is very soft and my toddler and dogs love rolling around on it, this is not meant to be a thick, plush 'berbery' kind of rug. It's meant to be a showpiece and that's exactly what it is.
