This rug is attractive enough, BUT...if one sits on it, particularly with dark clothing, a million little fibers will cover your clothing. Our grandchildren will not sit on it because it hurts their hands or legs with its very rough texture. Also, after less than a year, the ends of the jute throughout the rug, have begun to pop up causing little knotty clusters across the surface of the rug. I bought it at a more expensive price than it is now and it is one of the biggest waste...

This turned out to be a very nice rug -- a bit rougher than i had expected but i should have realized jute would be scratchy. The colors are very nice and neutral and the edging turned out more pink than the brown in the picture but it goes well with a pink and blue color scheme in consequence. the border is charcoal but blends well with black and deep blue -- it's more of a deep smoke color.
