What Customers Are Saying
The CamJam cord tighteners are a versatile product that work well for light-duty tie-down applications, such as securing tarps or outdoor furniture. Many users found them easy to use and effective at maintaining tension. However, some reported issues with the plastic components not holding up under heavier loads, and the included cord being too short for certain uses. The product may not be suitable for heavy-duty applications that require more robust hardware.

Easy to use, works well
Would RecommendI use this cord tightener to snug up the tension on the tip of a patio shade sail. It works well, is easy to use. Because it’s plastic, I wonder how it will hold up to UV exposure.

CamJam with one rope
Would Not RecommendThe cam jam works ok. I thought it included 2 ropes 8 feet long. I did not realize that both camjams are attached to the same rope.
Used to be a great product
Would Not RecommendI have several of these that I have used over the years, but the last several that I have bought have failed rather quickly. It's always been the cam wheel just coming off while under tension. And there no way to put it back on because it breaks the tabs. Will not buy the plastic ones anymore.

Won’t stress out your tie off product like a tent.
Would RecommendFirst time using. Very efficient especially when solo work.
When you need it most and it’s available
Would RecommendGreat tie-down mechanism when you need it; you can put in any compartment
Quick and easy
Would RecommendGood easy to use fully adjustable for light loads.
It does a really great job all the way around.
Would RecommendThis robe was purchased in order to tie up a newly planted tree so it would not fall and grow straight. It is perfect for what we needed. The colors of the rope are dark and do not stick out because of brightness. We just had several extremely windy days and the rope worked beautifully.
Price swapping
Would Not RecommendGood product Lowes is deceptive in price. They price swap to get you in store to jack up price. In store doesn’t match their own price.

Great product
Would RecommendI've had a pair of XTs I use for a patio shade, i.e. a sail. I've used them with everything from paracord to 1/4" nylon braided rope and they've never slipped, not even in storm weather. I don't even back-tie the rope after the cam. The harder the wind blows, the tighter the cam gets, but still easily releases. I need more.
