i bought few weeks ago just got installed so far so good

Worked perfect out of the box

Simple installation and setup - expected longer cables, though.

System Operates as Advertised.

This is the second Night Owl system purchased. The first one was damaged from a power surge. The new system works better, buy is still a little difficult sometimes to see the cameras on the cell phone. It doesn't always want to connect. I can't say if it is the internet connection or just the way the system operates. The video is very clear with the new cameras. It's a great system for what it cost.

Wonderful upgrade!

I upgraded from wireless to the wired and can’t be more happy! The upgraded software it is also a huge plus! My images are crystal clear and the resolution is wonderful! I can’t be more happy! This is money well spent!

My son is so happy with his new upgrade. I checked Night Owl and he decided on the DP21-164LQ-3. He is very happy with his purchase. They are top grade. Anyone looking for any cameras with an excellent DVR WON'T BE ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING BETTER.

PERFECT UPGRADE

This unit is a replacement for an older model. The software is much nicer to work with. The older unit handled 8 cameras and the new one handles 12. The one and only issue is with the remote software. You must have a cellphone to set it up. The world still has people who do not need nor want a cellphone. I do have a tablet but its not tied to a cell service. When you try to create an account it wants to send you a code as part of the first time log in. It sends it to a cellphone number not to th...

Effective detail

This DP8 is what I expected. Excellent detail. DP2 may as well be a toy...it's not worth the material wasted to manufacture.

Freestanding, works great

I wanted a security camera setup and DVR that is freestanding, and this is it. I bought these cameras to add to a DVR that had additional ports to fill. I love this system.

Just bought this a week ago, 6/19/21, and the product was really what I expected, pros: 1. easy set up and configuration, and installation 2. pictures in live view or review were crystal clear, even with zoom in 3. broader view angle, 85 degree 4. Replacing an Old Night Owl system, almost went with another Brand because the old system was so bad in App remote connectivity and pic quality. Decide to give a chance on new 4k system with existing cable. i made a great decision to stay with Night Owl, New system have great connections and great pics. Thank You Night Owl

Everything I wanted.

This is the first hardwired system I have ever owned. It's awesome. I can view it on my TV, my phone and my computer whenever I want. I have 9 cameras and it covers all of my needs. Great system. I highly recommend it.

Great DVRD for the price

THis DVRD plugged right into my cameras that were already installed... The picture quality is good and the features are in bet able for the price

I look and got these as my friends got different ones and they seen mine and wanted them face recognition is good at night is also good I bought 4 and turn around and got 2 more oh and the assistant is not bad on response time dont no about winter yet but good in the rain oh go get it
