Glad I bought this

After painting the house, wanted to add new lights. Style of light didn't have the dusk to dawn option. This timer was the perfect solution. It was easy to install and program. it even adjusted the time with the time change. I did readjust the sunrise and sunset times. There are other options for turning the light on and off but the most useful for me is the sunset on and sunrise off option.

Wrong Item Number

Wanted this item , Looked at the item number on the package, bought it. Later when getting ready to inatall it I noticed it wasn't what I thought I was buying. instead of model 33861-T1 I got a model LTNIWP. Installed it anyway, Not what your web site showa.

Great Automated Switch

Other reviewers are knocking off stars because of problems having nothing to do with the product itself. I replaced an existing mechanical timer switch in my garage that controls exterior lights around the perimeter of my house. Amazing Product

I wish I had more switches that needed to be replaced. I am an average DIYer. I woudknt say I’m above average, but I like the think I can figure stuff out. It took a few tries to get this wired correctly. Our house is older, built in the 60s, so it took a few minutes to figure our exisiting wiring. Not sure I received the right order

The product I received had the same item number as the one I ordered, but did not look like the one in the photo online. I haven’t installed it yet, so I’m not sure how well it works

Should have done it years ago.

I’m not an electrician but I figured it out and it works — the lights come on at sunset and off at sunrise. The down side is that the home builders left a lot of excess wire in the box so it’s hard to stuff the wire and the switch back into the box, especially since it’s a 4-switch box. To neaten it up I’ll need to open it up again, pull all the wire out, trim it down to the minimum wire needed for the switches, and close it up again.

Item is NOT what is described

Buyer beware! This timer is NOT what is pictured or described. Item #869904 does not have the sunrise/sunset feature, and the faceplate looks completely different. Do not order this item because it is WRONG. Come on, Lowe's, that's ridiculous!

Excellent Product

This product performs flawlessly. Programming is easy to understand and installation instructions are very complete. I am not an electrician and usually do not try to do electrical tasks. I use the sunset/sunrise feature for our front porch light.

Incorrect info - audit your entries lowes

Drove to the store to get this item, the item number/pics/details entry here doesn't match the same item number in store... item here says 3 way, item in store is single pole, item here says one brand, in store same item number is different brand and totally different button orientation... this is not the first time, lowes web info cannot be trusted.

BUY THIS ONE

Trust me buy this one , super easy to set and easy to wire , only thing is buy a deeper/bigger metal box to put it in . the device along with the wires takes up more room than you think. its so much better than the big old looking timer i had .

easy

SO much easier to use then other ones. I replaced all my old ones with this one

Works for a while

Great product but of 5 I have purchased, 4 have failed in 3-4 months. The "ON" -or- "OFF" button selection light stops working. Excellent when it works. Usually fails.

Poor Quality

Instructions difficult to follow, would not work at all. Returned to store.

Outlet timer

I replaced a very complicated timer with this timer in a matter of 1 hour! It works excellant as I used the preset function w/o a problem.

Looses function

I've been through 2 of these timers, and they constantly are loosing function on the buttons. Im throwing these away and switching to another brand! Easy install...poor longevity.

Love this timer

This has been a great timer. Easy to use. HOWEVER, I dont think their preset selections are realistic. Example their 5pm to 8am. During daylight savings time 5pm is to late of a start time and there is ample light at 6:30_7:00 am.
