I don’t recommend applying this over light colors

I thought this would give me a clear glossy finish. It did so over darker stain. When I applied it to a light green painted dresser it had a brownish tint to it. Not very attractive. Clear gloss should be just that...clear. Maybe you should change the name or include a recommendation regarding application to light colored services. Otherwise happy with the product but not happy I have to repaint.

Great product!

I'm a pretty experienced wood worker and have used every finish out there. I was searching for a particular clear finish that was not ultra clear (like a water based poly and not as warm as oil based poly) was turned on to the modified oil poly and it's really good. The warm color finish is about right in the middle of a water (clear) and oil (warm) tone. This was perfect for what I needed. Application was a breeze, no odor and a durable finish in 2 hours I really like it!

Satin Finish is for sure

This product worked as described. My wife thought it should have some shine,... well then, buy semi-gloss next time. Easy use and cleanup. using to end seal prefinished T&G and on unfinished pine doors.

Clear poly

When I put on wood it doesnt cover like the oil based. Nor is there a shine . not a fan of this product. Maybe I am not using right but the look I was going for didnt come with this product. I went back and got the minwax oil based poly and it is beautiful to me.

Tough stuff

Good tough surface from a fast drying water based polyurethane. Have to keep mixed well at all times during use, or dulling agent settles to bottom and finish gets glossy. Minwax polycrylic did not seem to have this problem near as bad, but the finish was not near as tough as the polyurithane.

Perfect for table tops

Made a 4'x4' table top that I wanted to be weatherproof and this was the perfect item to achieve good results

Works better if you spray it. Takes a delicate touch if you use a foam brush

What we have all been waiting for.

Very easy to apply. Very fast dry time. Almost no smell at all. I actually put my family up in a hotel for two nights while I finished our new red oak floor. I wasted my money on the hotel. This poly goes down very smooth and quick. I expected the usual noxious odors but it didn’t come. I was doubtful about a three hour dry time between coats and found that I could walk on it in under two (in socks). Kitchen cabinets

The product worked as described. But if you are not a fast worker or you like to go over an area while putting on a coat it will streak because it dries very fast. Large areas can be challenging. Otherwise easy to use and easy cleanup.

Great finish

Minwax oil modified water based polyurethane works great and is tough. It is my finish of choice.

Good stuff

Good floor sealant. Almost dries too fast. Use short nap applicator, not long lamps wool stuff. Sand 220-320 between coats

Oil Modified poly

We bought this product to try it out on our old wooden floors. The house was built in 1863 and we were refinishing some of the floors. We even used regular water based poly, but the relished them with the oil modified poly. What a difference! We used three coats, just the the directions said, no sanding in between, and we got a glass like finish. Great product!!!

Very good product

Lays down well and leaves beautiful finish. 1 week later my 90 lb got excited and jumped all over it...no scratches whatsoever.
