Great refrigerator

We love this refrigerator. It is very spacious. We like the slim ice maker in the top which allows more space in the refrigerator proper. The second ice maker in the bottom freezer is great also. We have not found any part of the refrigerator that we do not like. Would definitely recommend others to purchase this refrigerator.

Run away as fast as you can

Bought a Midea french door just over a year ago. Not only do the water filters cost $50 (no generic) but then the led light in the middle drawer goes out. Now the story begins and luckily I had a warranty. I thought, "easy fix" but to my surprise, impossible without a technician to come out to replace it. He came out checked the light and said, "yes, you need a new led light. I'll have to go order it and will be back." After a few days, my warranty company emails me and states that the refr...

not standard sized

Nice finish. makes loud knocking sounds after being opened for any reason. The refrigerator ice maker tray/storage bin broke within the first year. It is not a standard depth. it's about 3" deeper and will stick out more than a standard sized refrigerator.

We were looking for a new split-door design, and found this French Door model to be nice and roomy for the just-under 36" width we required. The 2-year warranty was a big selling point. The salesman didn't know anything about the Midea brand, but after purchasing we learned that both the brand and product originate in China. We did not request a demo, but we learned to ask for the manual in future. Manual is no help. Can't get lights to come on, requires start up with Smart Home app and gives you limited time to perform procedure and wedobt have that button on the panel! Ice options light up and that's it. It's a gorgeous fridge, we want to ue it! But this "smart" fridge is killing us. I hope we can update review with better news.
