new Maytag, Unresolved Appliance leak ,

First machine was damaged, so took a month to receive replacement, on July, 18. Clothes remain soaking wet after spin cycle, extra long cycles, wash half way through the machine starts all over again also a sudden gush of water comes out from under the machine. Service technician came out Aug. 27 and said it needed a part and would take a couple of days to get. On Sept 10, they said they were waiting for the part to come in .! The last two times Sept 17 and today , left messages with no respon...

Love It!!

It has more capacity than I even thought it would (more than Mom's Speed Queen) and have been easily able to wash king size bedding and mattress covers. It's simple to use too. Built like a tank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Built like a tank with the best solid state controls. I'm so happy with the mvwp585gw. What a piece of equipment. Things are just not made to this standard any longer. Actually cleans your clothes thoroughly in half the time of the last two washers I've had to buy in the past 1o years. Easily repairable, expect this one to last a lifetime like the ones we had growing up in the 70's.

Quick cycles, cleans great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the commercial grade model based on information that it should last longer than home models and be easier to service if it breaks. Very sturdy, and cleans better with much shorter cycles than my previous Maytag Bravos top loader. It's somewhat louder when agitating than my previous machine and isn't as attractive as many home models. But since it washes so quickly and well, I wish I would've bought this years ago.

A Machine Worth Owning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had other Maytag washers in my 42 years of marriage and think this is the best by far! No extreme bells and whistle, it will not bake a cake or fly itself to the moon. It will however wash and clean clothes to perfection with easy to use settings and turn knobs( my favorite). It has an agitator and is efficient and effective! All to my delight. I would highly recommend it if washing clothes thoroughly is your goal.

My last Maytag...EVER.

I bought this machine 4 years ago at Lowes. I declined the Lowes extended warranty because the Maytag Commercial model said in plain letters that it had a Full 5 year pets AND labor warranty. That's why I picked IT over others much less expensive. At 4 years it had a failure and wouldn't spin. After Mr Appliance replaced the motor, cam, & actuator it still sounded the same. Then the tech replaced the splutch and it ran right!. But a I still had to pay $500 to get it running as Maytags ex...

Worst "Commercial" washer ever

I was excited when Lowes offered a "commercial" grade washer. That's when I fell for the trap. The agitator broke and had to be replaced at the 1 year mark. Then 2 years in the control board failed. My mother had a Maytag that lasted 30+ years, mine lasted 2. They don't make them like they used to.

Will break in a year, please dont buy

Began having issues with it right as my labor warrant ran out. No problem it's commercial right HAHAHAHAHAHAH only 2 parts are covered. SO after spending over a 1000, I have to pay over 400 to get it fixed. Id rather eat it and get anything but Maytag or Whirlpool (because its practically the same thing). Please do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake!

Beware

I read the reviews, and took a chance. I wanted a workhorse of a washer, and probably should have bought a Speed Queen. 4.5 years later, the transmission has gone out. One of the selling points for me was the warranty, but it only covers parts on the motor & basket. Calling Whirlpool to get something set up took well over an hour to get to the appointment person. $185 diagnostic fee to tell me it was just change in the machine (this was NOT the problem), and a second visit 5 days later from...

Crap

The customer service is HORRIBLE. We bought this maytag commercial washer that has a 5 year warranty. It broke down after a year and a half in a single family home. I have spent the last two weeks about (10-15hrs on the phone) trying to go through the customer service warranty department to get my washer fixed and they have yet to send a correct work order to the company who is supposed to be fixing it. No one has givin me a reason as to why it’s not being fixed.
