Ratings & Reviews for Maytag High Efficiency Stackable Large ( 4.8-cu ft ) Front Load Washer ( Metallic Slate )

Clogs often, awful setup for custom built-in use

Regretful purchase. Frequent E1 F9 or E3 F8 error code. We have our matching units built into a custom quartz pedestal cabinet that we have to take apart when this happens to access the manual plug release in the back. It weighs a ton due to trapped water and we have to somehow find friends or family to help us pull it out every time this happens. Damaging our built-in in the process. Terrible design and use for a front load. After only two years use, I’m having to already buy a brand new set be...

fantastic capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great capacity, many wash options are very helpful. Looking to have many years together.

Mediocre at best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as it should and is very quiet. There are 2 drawbacks. One is you have to hold a button and wait for a 3 second countdown to start the machine. The second drawback is the end of cycle notification is so quiet you can hardly hear it. There are three levels and none are loud enough or long enough.

Good Enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needs a light inside the drum when removing laundry. Needs a faster spin in the rinse cycle for water removal. A reversible door would also be nice. Love the extra rinse cycle option but would prefer if it was a stand alone feature with all the other wash cycle choices and not an add on to chosen cycle. Love the fresh hold option.

Not What I Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been unbalanced from the beginning. I paid for installation but they were basic. The builder had to tell them how to get the paired dryer to work. Also, I can’t determine if the dryer filter is installed correctly.

Was not what I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly if i could pick again, i'd pick one with a drain in the front (now that i know) - I've also only had my washer about a year and a half, and the drain pump blew (despite having technicians clean out the drain multiple times). I'm very disappointed in the quality/longevity

High Tech!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to our old washing machine, our Maytag Washer is high tech! Takes a getting used to, but love it! Does a fantastic job.

So Far - Doing Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received a week ago and so far, it's doing great. This washer replaced my 16 year old Maytag frontload - nothing wrong with it, just doing a remodel.

Satisfactory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Regular cycle takes longer than my previous machine, but otherwise washer is satisfactory.

Very easy to use and many settings.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Great at cleaning , quiet and large capacity. Very glad we purchased this model.

The washer has a lot of settings that is nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE bought this a month ago and we like the washer. Seems to work good.

Definitely worth the purchase!! You won’t regret!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hello everyone i had purchase a pair washer and dryer set of Maytag appliances and im loving them so much they are really nice looking and very sleek design that i absolutely love!!. The set is really easy to use and they come with cool pre set settings for everything you might need to wash its amazing i would definitely recommend them to everyone looking for a washer dryer set. Five out of five stars from me!

Washes good, takes longer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems the spin cycle does not get as much of the water out of the clothes as my last Maytag. Therefore it takes longer to dry the clothes. The Quick wash says it is only 15 minutes which we do not feel is enough time. The normal wash used to be 44 minutes on the older one or we could set the time but on newer one it is 55 minutes. Seems excessive. Glad we could get a new unit that matches our dryer.

Great cleaning and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally replaced my old Whirlpool Duet washer after 22 years with this new front loader. This new washer has been working well so far and really cleaned the dog pee stain and smell from my comforter.

Not suitable for real world

Do not buy if you have pets or any kind of fluff that might clog the drain pipe. There’s no easy way to clean the drain pipe. After the two year limited warranty (of using the afresh cleaning mode regularly) the washing machine no longer works and simply flashes E1. F9. All of the manuals and help guides for Maytag demonstrate a very helpful way to clean the washing machine drain pipe that this machine does not have.

Great Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had it a short time, but it has performed exceptionally well.
