Ratings & Reviews for Maytag High Efficiency Stackable Medium ( 4.5-cu ft ) Front Load Washer ( Volcano Black )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the cleaning performance and quiet operation, with many noting clothes come out noticeably cleaner and the machine runs significantly quieter than previous models. The intuitive controls and variety of wash cycles, including a quick 15-minute option, are frequently highlighted as valuable features. However, some report the spin cycle leaves clothes excessively wet, requiring additional cycles, and several mention wash times exceed two hours. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider the overall performance and quietness worthwhile improvements over their previous machines.

do not buy it
Would Not RecommendThis washing machine is a joke; it doesn't have many options, the water is never at the right temperature, and the worst part is cleaning the filter—a task a woman can't manage on her own. The filter is inside the casing, so you have to lift the machine from the bottom just to reach it. Never again with this brand.

Quiet and adjusts washing time
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer fits a large load of laundry easily, and washes well. It washes fairly quietly. When I first used it I was confused cause once I pressed starting button for the 3 second countdown the washer started but I didn’t hear it, so I kept pressing the start button unnecessarily. I love that once load starts it senses the time needed to wash and adjusted the time accordingly.

This machines spin cycle is the worst.
Would Not RecommendWe bought this washing about 3 weeks ago. I have regretted that purchase from the first time I used it. It is very noisy and does NOT SPIN THE CLOTHS ENOUGH. I HAVE TO RUN CLOTHS THROUGH THE DRY TWO TIMES TO GET THEM DRY. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. I have owned A Maytag MAXIMA XL, MCT, Direct Drive washing machine and dryer set over 10 years and it was a excellent quality washing machine. So I stayed with Maytag. I wanted to return the unit to store, but was told I cou...

PIECE OF JUNK!!
Would Not RecommendIf you are looking for a piece of junk washing machine that gives nothing but problems and error codes and takes hours to wash one load buy this one. The 10 year warranty they advertise is for the drum. All the other parts/labor are not covered after one year. AVOID THIS MAYTAG PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!!!
