Terrible Repairability and wants to break

Right away, the wifi performance was terrible, I requested help and got a new head unit. I thought this was good service. The replacement SUUUUUCKED. The smoker IS NOT built to be repaired. It's built like some engineer in CAD thought it'd be repairable, but it truly sucks to mess with the headunit. The clearances are awful, the cords hang with no slop as you're contorting your hand to undo screws. It's really annoying. Unfortunate

I wanted to love this thing, but it failed in several aspects. I live in a humid climate, and the grill is also outside when it rains. So after a cook, if there is ash at the bottom of the fuel compartment, it tends to cake up, making the lighting of the fuel impossible the next time. On the other end, where the fuel is loaded, it accepts briquettes and lump charcoal. If you load lump charcoal, there is the chance that the pieces of charcoal may lock together (or “bridge”) and prevent the stack ...

I still decided that I had to have it and I’m so glad I got. It has the ease of a pellet smoker, the taste of charcoal and/or wood, and the flame kissed taste of fire. It doesn’t get any better!

Awesome overall

Best Purchase Ever!

Reliability issues

I have since used it maybe 6 times. It is very easy to use. The app is great and it’s easy to clean. Have also found some nice recipes in the app and hope to try those out sometime. It's a BEAST!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this grill a month ago. What an upgrade over my old pellet grill. The temperature holds rock solid so far. The cleaning is a breeze with stainless grill grates. I loved going back to lump charcoal with wood chunks sprinkled in, so much better flavor! The hopper easily handled an 8 hour cook with lots of room to spare. I know I'm talking this machine up, but so far, it's been my best grill ever. And I've had several over the years.

Glad I made the right choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the grill has been impressive. I'm glad I chose the Gravity XT over choosing a pellet grill, I get to keep the flavor of charcoal and have have the option to add wood to increase the flavor. More people need to know about these grills.

Easy versatility

I did a 20 lb brisket one weekend. Came out perfectly. The next weekend we had a pizza party. And last night we grilled ribeyes. This is the most versatile cooking machine I've ever owned.

Boss, Pit Boss.

I had the 1050 for over five years and I thought it was the best smoker I had ever used. Well, the XT has made me rethink that position! It truly is the boss! For those of you looking and thinking it is not much different from the 1050 or 1100, you are WRONG! Start with the weight of this thing. The 1050 I could pick up myself with no really issues.
