I recently traveled to Newfoundland to hunt moose. I learned that I needed a TSA compliant gun case so I bought one at my local Cabelas store. The only problem was that none of my padlock fit, the shackles were too short. I stopped at Lowe's and bought the Master Lock 2-Pack 2.058-in Silver Steel Shackle Keyed Padlocks. The shackle thickness made it fit real snug because the hole on the case was a little small but other than that they worked perfect. I remember on my way back to Nebraska the US ...

Love them. They are very heavy duty, keyed alike and work perfectly for the need I had.

Master Padlock Review

These larger Master padlocks just fit into the hole on my gate latches and cannot be forced open. The smaller locks I bought previously left too much leeway. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Hard to rate a product when it has not been used

Locks may look good and easy to purchase but time will be the real test of quality and value. I just installed the locks so, we will see how the locks perform in outdoor use. Then ask me about the quality and value portions if you want a realistic evaluation. I get these evaluations on a lot of items that do not make sense to me since the product has to be used to evaluate. All you are getting with early queries is non sense or perception of store, not product quality or value in such cases.

Master Locks with Long Shackles

The long shafts worked perfect to secure the chains on a auto carrier trailer so it could not be stolen easily. Buying the pair package was a great price too!

Good Padlock

What can I say? It's a padlock. :) It seems very strong, I like the long shackle, and I liked getting two keys (the last one I bought only had one... what's up with that?). So far, it's done it's job well. No complaints at all.
