Locks for outdoor

For outdoors, I really like these locks. They hold up well to seasonal weather.

Nice locks

We use these locks for the gates in our backyard. They are supposed to be more resistant to weather. The plastic keyhole cover doesn’t always stay closed so don’t know if it will cause an issue as time goes by. So far though, they are holding up great.

Trailer locks

Used them on my enclosed trailer doors. Plastic pieces covering lock hole broke off a few days after purchase but doesn't affect mechanics of the locks.

This is a nice 4/Lock system to secure fence gates. They all work with one key.

Great product

Works really great easy to use. Well made. Rubber outside keeps from harming painted surfaces you are using it on.

Went the extra mile........

While getting ready for a few days away from the house, I needed more padlocks for the gates and sheds. After reading your reviews about the keys being 'fragile', after purchasing these locks, I took the keys and one of the locks into my local hardware store and had more keys made from better quality steel. They all fit and worked well in the one lock, so I knew they would work in the other 3. Now with the newer keys, I won't have any broken keys if I keep the locks lubricated with graphite.

Locks are great, but....

I use these for both of the gates to my property. With no locks, the neighborhood kids would roam through my yard on the way to buy candy; only 25 more feet, but these kids are lazy. I live in a climate with a lot of snow, sleet, and rain, so protection from the elements is something I need. After sub-freezing temperatures, and snow, these locks still operate flawlessly. The only problem I have with these is the small tab on the bottom of the locks, the tab comes off easily, and is rather diffic...

bought 3 sets

Got sets and then 1 more set a year later, got em with same key code stamped on key, so one handy key works for 12 barn doors, trailer boxes, chained up equipment in back of truck when run into store, etc. All still working perfectly after 2 years in outdoors (I try to hang them so water doesn't run in key hole). The little rubber trap doors tear off if you don't like them, but seem to stay on and not tear incidentally.

Great Locks

Great locks for outdoor use. I use them on my cargo trailer. The rubber coating doesn't beat up the siding of the trailer and the weatherproofing is great.

A bit lacking

I purchased this lock set to go on some toolboxes that I am taking with me overseas. The quality of the locks is great, and I feel good about the purchase in terms of the security of my tools and toolboxes since the combined value quite high. The only downside to this purchase I noticed is the fact that only 2 keys were included with this set. Any other lock bundle of competing brands you purchase comes with a key for each lock contained in the set, and I'm not sure why Master decided to cheap o...

Time Will Tell

So far, l like what I see with these locks. However, the problem with all of these "weather protected" locks is that they don't resist the weather like they should. If I had my choice, I would be writing this review 3 years from now. I definitely like the sturdy design.

Great for an enclosed trailer

I purchased these locks for our new enclosed car-hauling trailer. They were perfect for the job, in that there were two for the rear ramp, one for the side door and one for the hitch in front. Additionally, they are protected with a rubberized casing which will protect our trailer's finish. The key entry is also protected by a small door.
