Too small for some wood chunks
Would Not RecommendThis says smoker box but the package says it's for wood CHIPS. The dimensions are wrong- the 1.73 inches must be height because some wood chunks are too big to fit in the box with the lid closed. The photo is also wrong because the lid is hinged so you can't even just rest the lid loosely on top. It will stick up too high so you can't put grates over it.
Used With Propane Smoker
Would RecommendWorks very well and as advertised. I used 2 on a propane smoker. I found that some of the wood was un-burned after I had the smoker on for about 3 hours. The placement on the burner could be the reason. I also soaked the chips for about 30 minutes before placing in the smoker boxes. This was my first time using the smoker boxes so i could have placed the boxes a bit off the burner. Still very pleased as cleanup was a snap...just dump the ashes in the yard after they had cooled and you are done. ...

Great size when smoking for two
Would RecommendWe have used this box for most of our smoking meals. You can fill it and it creates the right amount to do a whole chicken, ribs, tri-tip...so limits the waist and having to figure out how many in the big chip container included in the smoker.

Better than a pie pan
Would RecommendWas glad to find this available at Lowes. Until now, I have been using pie tins. This should work better plus contain everything to be discarded so it can be reused.

Just get the Weber one
Would Not RecommendPuts out barely any smoker compared to the Weber version. Seriously, just spend the couple extra bucks and get the Weber one
Not Stainless - Buyer Beware
Would Not RecommendBought this in the store last year and was excited about using it. Stored inside my grill away from the elements, and now it looks like this. Buyer and Lowes, beware, this is not stainless steel and it's shameful that it's marketed that way. See the pictures I've attached. You're eating paint and whatever other fumes are coming out of this smoke box if you choose to buy and use it! Absolute trash!
