Works well if you put the chips in dry. I have used it several times, and I have been completely satisfied.

So Much Smoke

We weren't sure what to expect from this purchase. We want a smoker but don't have a big enough yard for a grill and a smoker so we thought we'd try this out. LET ME TELL YOU! This little box created some RIDICULOUS smoke in our grill to the point that I didn't want to even be near it. But because of this box it made the smoked meat taste sooo good!

Doesnt retain heat

It's a smoker for a gas grill. I didn't expect much but this thing barely provided smoke. The problem is the thin stainless steel retains heta poorly and once the wet chips hit it they basically steam instead of smoke. So instead of instant smoke like when you place wood chips directly on chsrcoal, you have to wait like 10 minutes or so until they light on fire.

Great Product

I use this with my Weber gas grill and it works very well. It seems very solid and quality, definitely recommended this to anyone wanting more flavor with a gas grill.

For the size it’s worth the purchase.

I would have rated it a five star product, but it is just needs to be about an inch thicker (top to bottom) and then I would give it the last star. It just needs a bit more wood to smoke and and little more area for it to breathe to get a good circulation of smoke going inside of the box. The picture is of the propane grill I use it in. It has three burners and cooks normally around 330 degrees.

More smoke from less chips

Bought this to extend the time a small amount of chips would continue to produce smoke. It seemed to do the job. Not sure how long this will hold up to the heat and exposure to fire and hot coals, being pretty thin material, at least a year or so and I'd be happy considering I BBQ or smoke something about two to three times a month over all. John
