Good mailbox

Overall good mailbox. It should withstand the weather for a long time. It also seems to be built with a heavier guage steel than the others I typically see in the neighborhood. Cons: flimsy plastic red flag that should have been made of steel to last; higher cost than some other comparable boxes; this model doesn't come with the easy to use detachable bottom plate that is shown on the installation video even though they both have the same model name.

Solid Mailbox

We purchased this mailbox to combat the rising incidences of mail theft in our neighborhood. This thing is rock solid. Having a spare key is a nice touch. You will not be disappointed.

Not secure

I bought this mailbox in hopes it would hold up if anyone tried to break into it. Mail thief was able to use large screw driver and break the bracket lock is attached to.

Heavy duty. Long lasting.

Heavy duty and sturdy unit. Definitely don't need to buy another mailbox ever again.

Outstanding secure mailbox easy install recommend

Was looking to upgrade my original mailbox from the builder and with recent concerns about mail theft I knew I wanted a locking one. This one happen to come up at a great price as I was researching the options. I ordered the same day I saw it and even shared the link to my neighborhood watch group. It arrived at my local store in a couple weeks. It was easy to install and use, looks great and I highly recommend.

Lock Assembly Sticks

It took only a few months and winter weather to start having problems opening the mail box. Now it will not open at all. As in other reviews we also had wet mail. Our mail box is on a state road with lots of 50 mph traffic. This mail box may be better suited on a cul de sac in a mild climate.

Very nice mailbox

Found this Mailbox online with a really low price..(24.99) and bought it immediately !! It was of course mis priced but I am none the less VERY happy with it. It is all steel, very secure and has a lock that cannot be picked or duplicated. Very safe and secure

Very sturdy, but installation on an existin metal pole was a little challenging even with looking at the mail Boss company site. We purchased the 2 mailbox spreader. They only provide install on a wood plank or with the mailboss pole. We had to drill new holes into our exisiting flange to secure it on the pole properly. Thankfully my husband is handy! Once completed they look very sharp and soild!

mail slot size

The box was easy to install. Put in a brick column and cement extruded through mounting hole which left small spots of cement inside. This hangs mail and keeps mail from dropping to bottom of box. Mail slot is stated to accommodate 3 1/2 inch parcel but I had a package that was 3 3/8 by 3 3/8 inches and it would not go through.

Box replacement and function

I installed this box in a brick column - minor problem. Cement came into box through mounting holes in box and made small buttons of cement on the inside. This caused mail pieces that are magazine size to not fully drop to bottom of box because the hung on the cement. The box came with a plastic template for mounting to a post so I used it as an insert in the box. That helped some but magazine size mail pieces still do not fall to bottom until another mail piece is inserted and pushes hung piece...

Proof that the mail box is better than the demonstration shows for anti-theft is the post it note I found the the box September 2, 2017 " Sorry I put some one else's mail in your box and tried to retrieve it but couldn't because it's a secure mail box. signed USPS" What else is there to say. On the complement side I have received complements on the box as far as the looks of the box. I enjoy the fact I don't have to check the mail box every day in safety in no one else checking out my mail...

Wet Mail is a Pain

We installed this mailbox in the summer time and all was fine until winter arrived and the rains came. Water pools on the top flat surface of the box and opening either section of the box incites a spray of water from all directions. We have wet mail most of the time. Tilting the box slightly hasn't helped. My neighbor has the same type and also has the wetness problem. We can't mail a letter from it unless I towel off the inside and top of the box. Excellent

I love this mail box! It's a good size to hold a few days mail, but not too big, it's sturdy, weather-proof, and secure against theft. It's the second one I've purchased since we're in the process of moving to a new house with just a standard box with no lock, and gives me confidence that our mail will be safe and dry.

Best Mailbox

Bought this in 2014, had mail stolen, love this, will hold week or more of mail, several neighbors have seen and bought one too! Feel much safer!

Improvements Welcome

We bought this as mail theft was an increasing issue in our area, per the PO, and our Post Master said it's what she had. We bought this in the store and then ordered the post on which it is installed; it looks fine and installed well. It is sturdy. Our concerns - when it rains or snows, whenever you open the unlocked top opening to place mail for the carrier OR the carrier opens it to get your out-going mail or put the mail that is being delivered thru the slot, water falls from the top edg...
