I love this flashlight so much I bought 2
Ever since childhood I have been infatuated with flashlights. Long story short I have bought MANY over my time and the LR831 is by far the brightest flashlight I'd like to say similar to a tactical flashlight with flood or focus high or low and strobe while being able to turn off and back on without changing the setting (big in my book) A+

Nice flashlight, focus function is not perfect
Very good quality light; I bought one for each of my kids because it does not have the ridiculous retina-frying brightness of other flashlights. The only reason for the lost star in the rating is because it cannot be focused into a tight spot beam. It still has an ok spot that can get out a little ways, but it would be nice if the focus slide would be designed to go a little farther. I suppose this is a trade off to make it more compact, but another 1/4" of length would not have been a drawback ...
