Get exact amount

4 years ago, I sided a cottage with this product and bought a few extra boxes expecting to build a matching outbuilding. I built the outbuilding this year, but I was a few boxes short of the matching siding. And guess what? They don't make that color anymore. So, if you are choosing this product, measure very carefully and buy the exact amount you need, because they probably won't be making that color again.

Barn siding?

We have used SmartSide on our garage exterior with battons and love the look. Now we need to replace 2 sides of our very old barn and wondered about cutting the SmartSide sheet into strips along the grooves and installing them horizontally, like siding with some overlap and caulk between rows. Is that something that would work?

Need smooth in midwest region

We need 3" smooth lap available in the midwest. I understand it went away.

15 year Sherwin-Willams prefin. tex. lap siding

Product is easy to install with ample instructions either in written form or video. My only concern is that I can see the primer through the paint. At first I thought it was sawdust because it was light brown in color which contrasts with Smoky Sable. I hope this doesn't affect the 15 year performance of the paint.

great product overall

I have been using this product on a project for several years. We use the smooth because it is more authentic. Cedar siding is smooth, not textured! We have two areas on a home we have been replacing cedar lap siding that has failed with LP smooth panels. We will now have to use actual cedar since you dropped the smooth product line.

Great look on my house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had hail damage on my existing side and had contractor use LP textured siding. House looks beautiful.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this on my house for about 2 years now. Nothing has moved un like vinyl. The product has not chipped or lost its color. Still looks great.

Cedar look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked much better than expected Comparison pricing Easy to install

Better than hardie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using this smart siding about 6 months ago and so glad I did. Sure beats the dusty mess hardie makes and you can carry and install with 1 man with out having to worry about breaking the siding. Really a great product

Curb Appeal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look of this wood siding. It’s beautiful, with lots of colors to pick from, plus very strong & durable. I love they are eco friendly. They care about the forest and work hard to protect and conserve it. They replant trees in the millions each year. But bottom line this siding is tough and beautiful and will transform your home’s appearance.

Saved me money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much better to build with than traditional plywood or OSB. The weather proofing is the best!

Great product!

Rigid Stack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because I am a "professional" do it yourselfer, I used prefinished rigid stack on my house for its ease of installation and no need for painting. The job went fast and the outcome was superb. It was completed in an instant! It has been five years since and the place still looks awesome.

Great finish!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My builder used smart lap by Louisiana-Pacific on my custom cabin at Smith Lake RV and Cabin Resort. The weathered finish of gray made the perfect siding for my home.
