Flowering pear a weed of trees

If you plan on planting a real pear tree I would advise not to buy this tree, The flowering pear is a weed to USA and will cause your real pear tree not to produce fruit. DO NOT PLANT THIS TREE!

Planted the pear tree and it seems to be doing well.

Good Quality tree for the $$$

Cleveland Flowering Pears are not my first choice for a statement tree in the yard, but these were pruned well and should create a beautiful impact from a distance. These trees provide beautiful white flowers in the Spring, (before dogwoods and sometimes the same time as Redbuds), which last quite a while, as well as providing a densely shaded area underneath. I would not plant these trees too close to a home or structure as they have rather brittle limbs and can break during heavy or high winds...

Wrong Purchase

I bought four of these plant, but none of them grew. I returned three of them, and kept one for almost a year. I do not see life in it. Wasted money!!

This tree was the perfect size. Large enough to enjoy but small enough for a single woman to handle. A healthy specimen which was well priced. I always appreciate a veteran discount.

Fast growing w/ spring & fall interest

These trees are pretty maligned among the serious gardening community, but I have to say I disagree. Yes, they are fast growing & that means that they have less dense wood, making them more likely to lose limbs later in life, but for a fast growing tree with seasonal interest, it's hard to beat & these are always pretty reasonably priced. In spring, they are covered in white blooms for several weeks. The blooms are somewhat unpleasant smelling, but gorgeous. And they have an attractive pyramidal...

Great pricing for flowering tree

Although they've only been in the ground a few weeks, we are pleased with our purchase. The deer have snacked on them a little but other than that the trees are still looking good. Looking forward to when they flower next spring. At well under $30 a tree these were a great bargain.

Back for a second one!

Bought one of these several years ago. Growing so well decided to do it again. Went up a few dollars, but, to me, worth it. The older one is filling in so nicely. Withstands weather very well.

We bought two of these and they seem to have taken nicely. New leaves are budding, both trees seem fine. They will be a great addition to our yard.

shopped around for weeks, Lowes had the best price.......trees half the size were 3x's the price of Lowes', and best part they are guaranteed for 1 year!!!!!

bought 9 trees, the flowers last about 4 weeks, then tree turns green, but they do grow fast.

Well rooted tree

Hard to find good quality trees for under $20, but this tree meets every expectation! With the price of nursery items on the rise I may go back and get more before they are gone.
