Lowe’s Excels Again

Bought two of these $49 trees for $5 each on clearance! Healthy, ready to grow and “looking happy” in my backyard. Thanks, Lowe’s, you did it again.

Flowering pear

We got the tree for 75% off it was almost dead it’s doing fairly well now hopefully I saved it

Cleveland Pear Tree

I bought two Cleveland Pear trees that both were well-cared for by Lowes prior to my purchase. I planted them according to printed directions and neither tree showed any signs of stress from the planting. These will turn into beautiful trees in a few years. Beautiful blooms in the spring.

Best ornamental tree I have

I purchased this from lowes only a frw years ago and it has been wonderful, fast growing, and beautiful. I couldn’t be happier I picked up several more for around my house/yard, as new construction not one tree was left on the property and these will help to bring shade without overwhelming me with tons of trimming, and clean up.

Beautiful Healthy Tree

We bought the tree and my husband planted it the next afternoon. We've been watering it daily in the morning. It's growing so fast it's amazing!! We're just so pleased to look out our dining room window to see the new growth every day! We put chicken wire around the base so local rabbits and deer don't bother it.

4 stars in Alabaster, AL not Pratville, AL

So I ended up buying 2 truckloads of these trees and am extremely satisfied with the purchase. The trees are beautiful. It even took me a week to get to plant them but still. They line both sides of my 90ft driveway and are amazing. They go along with the 22 Azaleas bushes, 8 Gardenia Bushes, 3 varieties of Jasmine and other landscaping items I bought and love from Lowes in Alabaster, AL. You see my family went all out this year to make our home an oasis for my wife who was stricken with breast ...

On Sale, Couldn’t Help Myself

Purchased 2 weeks ago, impulse purchase, marked down seasonal close out, $7 dollars. Usually a lot more. To early to really tell, but they are healthy, repoted them to 32 gallon pots until I can figure out their permanent homes. Nice...

Great tree Great price

Great tree for the price going to be buying more in the sprint.

Should be illegal

These Chinese pear trees are currently cross breeding with one another and their seedlings are exploding upon the landscape. Go American and plant a beneficial native tree instead.

Horrible Tree

There are so many better trees worth purchasing. Pears smell horrible when flowering, shade out and out compete everything in the yard, and escape quite readily to natural areas. Sprouts revert back to the original Chinese parent plant with wicked thorns. Consider redbud, hawthorn, or service berry for a beautiful spring flowering species.

This tree is invasive

This tree crosses with Bradford pears in my neighborhood and I have saplings all over. Certain areas around Jefferson City are white in the spring because this tree and it's offspring are all over the fields and right of ways

No way

These are short lived and weak trees. There are many native trees that are more desirable to birds and other wildlife. Try serviceberry instead.

Very invasive!

These trees cross-pollinate with other Bradford pears. The resulting plants are taking over fields and roadways. They don't have the form of the Cleveland and Bradford, so aren't always recognized as such. The resulting trees often have long thorns and a grove of them is impenetrable by livestock. Buy a dogwood or other native tree instead.

STILL ALIVE

Nicely shaped, starting to leaf out with a couple of blossoms. Nice price.
