What Customers Are Saying
The garden auger received mixed reviews. Some found it effective for planting bulbs and digging holes, but the majority reported significant quality and durability issues. Common problems included the auger shaft detaching, the spiral blade snapping, and the welds failing, even in relatively soft soil. While a few praised its effectiveness in loosening soil, the overall consensus is that the product is poorly constructed and unsuitable for anything beyond the lightest gardening tasks.

Would Not RecommendI agree with both Kyle and Stuart. Cheap, tack welds broke on about the 10th hole so I had to weld it up. And its a square drive when drill chucks use three teeth. I got out the grinder and ground it to make it triangular. So if you enjoy doing your own metalwork, then go ahead and purchase!
Works as expected
Would RecommendHad it for two seasons now. Planted my entire garden with it using my Ryobi drill. Love it!
Wish it was just a few inches longer in the length
Would RecommendStill a bit too short for my height - I'm taller than average but also have permanent injuries so I have difficulty with reaching down (meaning, I would like to have a bit longer of a shaft so it's easier for me to do plantings). OTHERWISE, it's sturdy, does exactly what it is meant to do (auger a hole to plant bulbs), and that's a good thing. (USE with your Cordless Drill - which is what I do)

Square Drive into a Three Jaw Chuck?
Would Not RecommendThis auger has a square 3/8 drive. How do you "Simply attach the Bulb Auger to any typical drill, . . . " Trying to grip the square drive in a typical three-jaw chuck is fraught with problems. And the corners are rounded off, so a square drive socket doesn't work. Fortunately, I have an antique brace with a chuck to grip square bits.
doesn’t fit my Ryobi
I have a Ryobi drill and it doesn’t fit. Will have to return.
Poor Weld Quality
Would Not RecommendI bought this today and it broke after the third hole in clay soil. There are only four tack welds holding it together. I’m fairly certain that’s why it snapped. It would be much more durable with better welding, but i guesses they are trying to make it as cheap as possible.
