Ratings & Reviews for LG High Efficiency Impeller Extra Large ( 5.5-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( Matte Black )

Had a GE Ultra Fresh Vent System washer for 2 1/2 years and it was a constant headache. It completely died about a month ago so we bought this LG washer and wish we had done it sooner. It’s quiet, efficient, has plenty of settings and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

Flawed designs

Was attracted to the products large capacity and it's many options , however the washer started malfunctioning about 40 days after delivery. The water drain pump was jammed so water would not drain. It took three trips by the repair tech to finally diagnose the problem, There are some design flaws as the start button is so close to the control selection knob that you inadvertantly turn off the machine while selecting wash cycle as your hand can easily brush over the button . The water dr...

Great Features and Functions!

We bought this about a month ago and love it. A definite upgrade from our last washer. Love the app control and all the options/features/cycles. It even sends an alert to your phone via the app to let ya know when the cycle finishes, highly recommend it!

Excellent Choice

the washer is loaded with features. the washer is also very quiet and efficient. being able to see what's going on Via the LG app is also a bonus.

LG customer service is TERRIBLE!

Beware when purchasing any LG appliance. We purchased 5 year warranty but it stopped working in 9 months so we've had to deal with LG to get a repair person to fix. A nightmare!!! 3 1/2 weeks and still no repair appointment after us calling/emailing, etc. every day asking for washer to be repaired. Will NEVER purchase LG again, and it was my favorite brand until I experienced this huge lack of customer service! Oh, but they did send us a boom speaker as apology... what a joke! Oops, time t...

Large Capacity

first time buying a top load. i like the big capacity and phone alert when load is done. i dont like that the clothes are wrinkly coming out. also, there is A LOT of lint that tranfrs to dark clothes when washing with towels. i never had that problem with my kenmore front load

Great features

I like LG products. Well made. Nice capacity. I like the AI function to determine what cloths should be cleaned.

LG Model Wash Machine

Our other washer went kaput, so we recently purchased the new LG Model. We were so impressed with the delivery, setup, and installation by the Lowe's team. We have used the new washer for only a week, but have washed several loads so far. It works so efficiently -- I am excited to use it for many years to come!

Love my new washer

Perfect capacity for a large family like ours. This washer is consistent and gets all my stains out of my clothes. It doesn’t vibrate across my floor like my last washer.

Terrible product

This is the worst washing machine I’ve ever used. I’ve had it 2 weeks and now I can’t even use it. The spin cycle makes it bounce so hard, that my entire house shakes. Water has leaked from the bottom and calling support has been zero help. Now the washer won’t even finish a cycle, it just keeps filling and draining the tub. Of course it’s when I have a full load of towels in with Noway to spin them. They have their customer service outsourced so it’s difficult to understand the person on the ot...

Wt8600cb is my dream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wt8600cb was my dream! I really want this washer so bad that I plan to record a YT video in 2030s And I will kept this washer for not only 28 years but for rest of my life! But it too much money to buy! And the real reason why i like this washer because so that way. I can wash shirt, jeans, towels & sheets & sweater & sweatshirt & blanket and more! So that way I can record the video about whole cycle and post on YouTube! So I will buy this washe...

Very efficient and excellent capacity

The machine does an excellent job and runs very quietly.

Extended soaking time

I have been trying to pause the washer during a soak cycle to extend the soaking time. After about 10 minutes, the washer begins to drain due to "inactivity". How do I extend the soak time without it doing that?

Excellent washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely flawless so far, but we’ve only had the washer for 1 month
