Smart key feature
Would RecommendThis is a reasonably made secure lock. Easy to install and functional. It also has the smart key feature that allows you to easily change the keys that open and close it.

Would Not RecommendThe smart function does not work, key tool refuses to go in the slot. Tried both original keys, repeated from scratch, but the rekeying tool meets resistance and will not go in. I'm not about to remove from the door so I'll just put up with using an extra key. Could have just put in a normal lock and saved money.

Knob falls off every day
Would Not RecommendDo not buy this knob. I made the mistake of getting it and regret it every day as my knob falls off my door and locks me out. I really wish Kwikset stuck with the older design where you could just screw the knob together.

A little pricey but the only lock you can rekey
Would RecommendEasy to install in old doors. I have not found another brand you can rekey yourself which is a must for rental properties. This lock went in smoothly and replaced a very old lock without problems. I will see how this holds up long term with use and abuse. That will be the true test. The price is a little high compared to others. I am willing to pay the price if this lock lasts for years.

Would RecommendI have these and the dead bolts installed in my own home. I was doing a repair job and suggested this to my client. After installed the client liked it. I was also able to rekey it to match the existing house keys.
