Heavy but gets the job done

Would Recommend

We had a 6 pound sledge with a hickory handle break on us mid job. I ran to Lowes and picked up two of these. The step up in weight made the job twice as easy and we weren't in fear of the shaft breaking. Only downside is the fiberglass vibrates and doesn't absorb as much of the impact so your hands may be a little sore afterwards. The maul/wedge side is very rounded probably meant more for demolition than to split anything.

The different sides

I like that there are two different style heads! Not knowing that when I bought it it came in handy for the job I was doing! I had an old sledgehammer and it was flat on both sides

Gets the job done

Would Recommend

Gets the job done! I needed something to pound in cattle fence post. They were out of the 8lbs so I got this one and it worked for the small job. (Also a good physical workout).

Don't buy if you're weak

Works as designed. It's so heavy, it might be 10 pounds but holy crap it feels like 100 pounds. That is what makes it work so well, of course. I'm using this to bust up concrete and it's doing that well.

Feels solid, worked well for me

Feels very solid. Used it to break up ice on my roof and some that fell off my roof. Unsure of how durable the handle will be if it accidentally hits something like a rebar stake, or how the head is connected to the handle, but it seems pretty solid so far. Already showing a touch of rust, but that's expected.
