Great for keeping the yard neat!

This is such a convenient tool to have to cut overgrown weeds and edges. I feel safer using something without a blade and this helped me clean up pesky weeds that grow over my driveway. As a female, it is a little heavy for me but not unbearable. My husband has a lot easier time maneuvering it. The set up was really easy and we really like that it’s a quiet and electric tool, rather than gas. Highly recommend this trimmer.

The Old Model was Better!

I loved my old 24V Kobalt trimmer. It saw four years of hard use. Truly a great tool. I'm sorry it died. The new one makes me pretty unhappy. The old model wasn't broke, but they fixed anyway. This new head is overly complicated inside, which means there's more stuff that can go wrong. It feels quite a bit heavier, and is nowhere-near as easy to swing around. Very long trimmer

This trimmer is over 5ft. tall and the description should have included the measurements. Works good so far but is a lot for me since I am 5' 5" tall.

Re string

Almost impossible to find parts for Quiet Tech 24. Different head to replace string. Unable to find a video or talk to a human at Lawn and Garden department. Zero stars if I could. This thing sucks.

Easy Use and powerful

This trimmer works great! Very powerful and easy to set up and operate. Works great for edging and cleaning up flower beds.

This one surprised me in a good way!

I own several 24 volt Kobalt devices and are pleased with the performance of all of them. I recently bought this string trimmer because my wife (much smaller than I) wanted something she could handle. I have 2 large gas trimmers that are much more powerful, but heavy. My first surprise was how well it worked with thinner string than my others. The second was that we got 25 or 30 minutes out of one battery cycle. Kobalt weed eater

Don’t have any problem with the weed-eater, handles well for older woman, however the battery does not last long and it takes about 2 1/2 hours to recharge. Quit disappointing. Haven’t had to restring yet, so will have to evaluate then

Great trimmer terrible battery life

Disappointed

This tool was clearly desgined to be a trimmer. Someone got the bright idea that it could be used as an edger just by turning it upside down. Using it as an edger, I found it to be extremely awkward. In this configuration, the safety switch and trigger are located just behind your ear. Awkward. Also, your view of the cutting area is blocked by the power head and the safety shield. So you can only see what the tool did after the fact, not as it is happening. Awkward.

The parts to assemble together don't fit. Specifically the screw holes for the guard doesn't align with the tool.
