Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 50 State 6830 Starting / 5500 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Powerful and relatively compact, easy to use

I was able to purchase this generator on a discount that allowed we to acquire a more powerful generator than I originally intended and I'm glad to have more power. It will run my refrigerator and microwave with no problem in the event of a power failure, there are plenty of outlets and safety features. It is too heavy to lift alone, so think ahead about ramps. I've had a little trouble starting it, but found that it will fire right up if I leave the choke in the run position. The noise is what ...

Good service

We went to buy this item the manager helped us, we had it delivered no issues.

What a purchase!!

This generator came in handy during our recent power outage. It was able to power two sub pumps and our Samsung fridge. It was well worth the money and saved me from having to file an insurance claim. 5 STARS 🌟

Had a hard time changing my address once purchased

Love it

Good quality

Quiet, easy to start

Easy to use and put together

Easy to put together

This product is essential when power is out.

It is assembled and ready to go.

Would be nice to have off road tires

Quality for a decent price.

Excellent generator

Excellent duel fuel generator.

Good value generator

Handle and wheel assembly very nice, and necessary. Not commercial duty but adequate if you’re just wheeling it around the shed or garage. Wheels are hollow plastic, which is fine again for a shed or garage, but I wouldn’t want to wheel it down an aggressive stone driveway. Starts easy and is relatively quiet. Good size gas tank and over nine hours run time isn’t bad.

If you need a generator this is the one for you

Think product was easy to set up and works great.

Great size for the price

Did not have to use it yet but very excited about the duel fuel

DO NOT BUY ANY GENERATORS FROM LOWES

48 hour return window.. Never opened.. never used.. “Sorry we don’t take generator returns after 48 hours from purchase.” Not unless my manager makes an exception. Of course they don’t & they refused the return!! Day 3 and I can’t return it. Frustrated is an understatement.. you lost a customer.

Out of the box? Don't count on it...

purchased this Kobalt duel/fuel generator mainly for home backup of key systems. Its a heavy one, so the wheels and handle are important. One of the wheels cannot be attached "out of the box" as a very sloppy machine overweld of the bracket that the bolt/cotter pin threads through will not allow the washer the cotter pin secures so the wheel turns to align - the weld slants the washer away from the bracket so the pin will not pass through the bolt. I have to file/grind the bulging weld down bo...

Excellent

Very happy with this little generator! An unexpected winter storm knocked out my power for a few days and my main generators regulator decided to kick the bucket and couldn't get a replacement for days. On a whim I bought this and it far exceeded my expectations! It wouldn't connect up to my big propane tank with the regulator included but on the 20lb tank I had that was 2/3 full it ran for 8.1 hours. Wasn't sure what to expect as far as output since this is less than half the output of my built...

Well worth cost.

Simple-easy to use. Needed portable generator for tree trimming with electric pole saw, on ten acres.
