Great for short chicks

I’m 5’2 and 115 lbs. yes it is a pretty long trimmer (even on the shortest setting) however the dual batteries help balance it out. Makes it pretty easy to use, especially for a small chick! I’d recommend this for sure. I’ve probably used it a total of five times at this point and have been pretty impressed overall so far. It works really good for edging sidewalks and driveways too! Great trimmer

This trimmer gets the job done and quickly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the two battery packs make it heavier than other trimmers I have owned. The batteries charge quickly and the charge lasts a long time. The trimmer line also loads easily and does not break while trimming denser vegetation. I actually purchased the brush trimmer attachment and have not used it because this trimmer cut through the thick and high weeds very nicely. Highly recommend!

This must be how Lowe's gets rid of dead batterie

After I got this home, I immediately opened the package and removed the batteries and charger. I started charging the batteries so they would be ready when I wanted to use the trimmer. After each new battery had been connected to a charger for several days, I finished assembling the trimmer. When I went to use it for the first time, it would only run for a few seconds, then turn off. This happened multiple times. I pressed the button on each battery to check its charge. Stopped working

Stopped working after 4 months of moderate use on a residential lawn. Used several different batteries and no luck - Filing warranty claim but I would not recommend to purchase.

First time kobalt outdoor purchase and happy I did

This trimmer is quiet,has alot of power and does the job. Easy to change the head over. Has strap eye to help with holding for longer periods. this was first time buying kobalt outdoor tool and a battery string trimmer ever and really glad I did

got this about a week before the stop sale order (informal recall) and i can tell you - the new 3ah 24v batteries work great. nice that they can be charged with a USB-C cord or they can charge other devices through the same cord. Came with 2 of these 3ah 24v batteries. Came with 2 USB-C braided cords, a 65w wall charger with 3 plug inputs (likely the reason for the informal recall as it could get excessively hot [i've not used mine] and also an adapter to use this charger on older batteries w...

Fast charge. Variable 2-speed motor. Powerful. Balanced, smooth. And the attachments are easy to interchange.

Junk

Maybe a month if use and the guard already broke. Once it runs out if the initial string I guess you have to buy a new one. The string holder won't come off. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this model, it's junk.

Better than gas for normal, homeowner needs

Great power. I haven't had to reload the line yet but this was a big selling point. One thing that's kind of annoying is having to turn it back on after a short pause. It's also easy to accidently hit the the same button again to increase the power level. Overall it seems well made.

Powerful Battery String Trimmer

This is a great little addition to your landscaping tools. The two 24v battery set up and brushless motor make it as powerful as any gas trimmer. Easy to assemble and adjust the handle for height. It has 2 speeds for different areas. The batteries charge fairly fast in my opinion. Easy to operate and it came with the string pre-wound. I haven’t replaced the string yet but it doesn’t look complicated.

Performs well

This performs exactly as I had hoped. No more smelling like gas after weed-eating. Strong enough to get the job done and the batteries lasted long enough to get around my 1/4 acre property.

WOW. HOW IMPRESSIVE

I tried this 48V weed eater (WE) and how impressed I was. This lightweight WE has two speeds. I used the low speed and it took care of my tough weeds I have on my farm. The 48V WE is simple to charge and operate. No more gas WE for me. Beats the heck out of pulling a cord and using pre- mixed gas. Great job Kobalt.

A great product and I wish I went battery sooner.

My old gas weed eater was becoming unreliable so I thought this would be a great replacement. It was perfect for around my house and especially the pool. I also have a lake property and not having to take gas in the car was a big plus.

Returned before it was delivered

I went to the store. The inventory showed 7 units on hand. The floor associate could not find the unit in the store. I ordered in the store to be delivered to my home. Two hours later the update showed delivered. Nothing was delivered to my home. The next day I phoned the helpline and was told that the item had been returned. The helpline could not tell me who returned the item. Waiting on my funds to be refunded.

I am loving this battery operated weed wacker because it is lightweight and super easy to use. My husband has a gas one and it was difficult for me to get it started, but with this it turns on by the press of a button! I also like that you can buy other attachments, I am looking to get the pole saw attachment.
