What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this compact chainsaw for its exceptional cutting power and lightweight design, with most highlighting its ability to slice through 4-6 inch branches with ease and surprising efficiency for its size. Reviewers consistently emphasize how easy it is to handle for overhead trimming and awkward angles, noting it reduces fatigue compared to full-size alternatives. Many appreciate the battery-powered convenience and long runtime. A small group mentions that chain oil is not included and a few note the safety switch design feels awkward, but these concerns remain isolated against the strong positive consensus.

The perfect saw to get the trimming work done!
Would RecommendPerfect saw for trimming and pruning branches, small to 6" to 8". Very convenient to use and the battery last's a long time to get the job done!

Light and powerful
Would Not RecommendPowerful and just the right size for most gardening pruning. Can even take down a small tree with speed and ease.

Powerful
Would RecommendCompact and good power, even a real 3/8 chain, with no spacing between cutters, means faster cutting, ease of tightening chain too,

Leaks oil
Would Not RecommendThis little saw would be great if it didn’t leak oil. I used it once and loved it. After using it, I put it on the self in my storage room. When I went to use it again, it was sitting in a puddle of oil. I went to return or exchange but it was too late. It has a 48 hour warranty. I wish I would’ve noticed that because I never would have purchased it. With the warranty literally being 2 days it tells me they know it’s garbage. Don’t waste your money. Kobalt is now all junk!
Great saw for yard work.
Would RecommendThis is a good little pruner. It is easy to handle. It cut fast in both wet and dead wood. I was cutting maple and cedar. The 2Ah battery lasted much longer than I expected. The ambidextrous safety switch was really convenient and allowed me to use either hand to cut. It's a little hard to push with gloves on so that could be improved a little. They saw stalled mid-cut more often than I wanted but with a little adjustment in technique that was mostly mitigated. Overall, I'm very happy
