Great Kobalt Tool
I purchased this saw in sept. to prune and cut down some small shrubs. The compact design is extremely helpful. I was able to get under the shrubs with the saw easily to make the precise cuts that I needed. the automatic oiling system worked great as expected. I operated this chainsaw for over a half an hour. there was still life left in the battery and there was no need to adjust the tension on the chain. My opinion is that kobalt battery operated tools are the way to go. It is so much easier...

Great saw for climbing and pruning
Would RecommendI bought this saw as a backup for the one I bought several years ago. It's been used a LOT in my tree climbing and dead limb removal hobby. It's lasted far longer than I expected it would and I wanted another one handy. It's light but powerful and the battery lasts a long time. Do not try to use the top of the blade. You won't be able to control the kickback. The built-in guard is there for a good reason.

Would Not RecommendBought this saw and used it for two hours. The saw cuts great, easy to control and use. The problem I have is that you cannot find a simple replacement part. I contacted both Kobalt and Lowe’s directly, after my oil fill cap hung on some brush, while cutting, and was lost. The saw is useless without the cap. I would not buy again had I known the Chinese parts are not available. Kudos to Lowes and Kobalt though, you can simply buy another one and use the original for parts.
