What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the drill bit for cutting through tile, glass, and porcelain with precision and minimal chipping, with most reporting clean, chip-free holes even on demanding projects. Many highlight that wet drilling significantly improves performance and speed. However, some report structural concerns, including hollow shaft bending or twisting after just one or two holes, particularly on thicker materials. Reviewers note success depends heavily on proper technique—starting at a 45-degree angle, maintaining steady pressure, and keeping RPMs low. Despite durability concerns from a notable minority, most customers find it effective for tile work when used correctly.

This Kolbalt Hole Saw does its job! I used it to drill through my granite counter top to add a new soap dispenser and it cut out the whole block perfectly and with little effort. Now know this, it takes some amount of physical force to cut through granite; but this little hole saw is clustered with diamonds at the mouth end to do its job timelessly. This bit wanders a lot, you have to really brace yourself and introduce it to the tile very slowly. I needed to drill 8 holes, it did 3 OK and barely got through the 4th. My wife used a spray bottle to keep the bit wet while I drilled. I will buy 2 more bits for the remaining 4 holes.

I used this once so far. It was to cut a hole in a wine glass. Used with water and a template I made to keep the bit steady due to no arbor. Worked great, let the drill do the work. No casualties.
