Bought one for each of my sons as a house warming gift. Excellent starter set for new home owners. Has all of the basic tools required for most home improvement projects.

Plastic Tool Box itself is Garbage

The box fell apart after a year. Used it one time. Just a junk cheap box

Broken Case

I bought this tool set online and had to drive an hour to pick it up. When I got home I noticed that the case is already broken. I can't believe that Lowes would sell this tool set with a broken case. It doesn't say much for Kobalt either that they would build something so cheap.

The tool CARRIER is JUNK

The tools seem very nice, nice variety of tools, No hammer. BUT the Case the tools are in is wobbly plastic. The drawers dont stay in, they just fall onto each other. The tools bounce around. I would not recommend to a friend. We bought for my grandsons 16 th birthday and were embarrassed that the drawers dont even fit in the case at the very beginning. Gives the impression the whole set is junk. Sad, we expected more from Lowes

Disappointed!

I've just pick up this Kobalt 100 pcs. tool and decided to return it tomorrow. Reasons: 1. Tools are not properly attached. It just fell off where it is placed. 2. The layers / drawers are not on their respective shelves. The groves are not on the lines; think of different drawers just on top of each other. The tool box itself is not meant to keep the tools properly placed. 3. The sockets, pliers, the screwdrivers are not meant to last long. I would say p...

Tools missing and it was clearly someone's returned tool kit

Guys, it's not all bad.

Has everybody else says the tools are quality, and the box itself is fine. Whatever the issues they had in the past were, they fix it with mine at least. Everything is solid, plus I got it on super sale for a 100$. Thanks guys, already got my money's worth fixing a pipe lol.

The box may bow out so the middle drawer drop down

I really like that I have all these tools in one small container and that they are organized. Tools are marked with big numbers and different colors for identification

The tool box is crap! Drawers do not work properly. They do not stay in the track.

great kit and tools, hard case came in "broken on the right side" or "caved in" where the drawers don't exactly "slide" ... bought the 250 piece mechanic set too and same issue

Horrible Case

The tools themselves are really good quality but the case is a huge piece of garbage. I never imagined having so much trouble simply opening the drawers on a brand new case. It would be one thing if they became problematic after awhile but they are terrible right out the box.

Lowes Delivery Data are Bogus

Tools are fine. Lowes delivery promises are worthless. The dates shown on the website when ordering are not true. Call customer service and you will get the same false promises. Delivery well after the promise date is a common occurrence with Lowes.

Nice tools in a lame tool case

This is a decent assortment of tools but unfortunately the box isn't molded properly, so the tool trays don't stay in place, and just stack up in a pile in the case. There is nothing except a slightly snug fit keeping the trays from sliding out of the main tool case. The latches are on a separate piece that hardly stays in place and is only held in place by two loose plastic pins. If the case was improved, I could recommend this item. Tool Chest w/tools

Ordered 2 tool chests. Both came damaged. Repaired the best I could. Tools were fine. Tool drawers and chest are plastic and cannot handle the weight of the tools and the delivery abuse. All drawers had collapsed on each other in both chests and the tool chest expanded to the point that the drawers would not remain in their position in the chest. I believe that this will happen to all tool chests shipped. Many reviews acknowledge this flaw. This flaw could tarnish the Kobalt name in this case. V...
