I am a newbie at doing my own repairs on my vehicle so I was in a crunch and needed a few tools to complete the job. This tool set delivered everything I needed to replace my brakes on my 2013 Equinox.

Sockets work great, bits are decent quality as far as medium duty sockets go.

Good wrench set

This is a nice wrench set, covers most of the bases for someone who doesn't already have a bunch of sockets laying around. If I was going to buy again, I'd probably buy some smaller sets because I don't have a need for all the amount of SAE things in there, and it doesn't fit conveniently into a larger toolbox. Not really problems with the product though. If there's one complaint, sometimes its kind of hard to get the sockets out of the case.

picked this up tonreplace my old set. can't complain. does what it supposed to do. wish it would have came with some combo wrenches but other than that a good set.

Good economy set

Got it on sale. Has a good ratchet and nice assortment of 6 point sockets. Hard to find decent 1/2 sets. Plus I like the color coding for the sockets.

Not ideal for carrying around

Not overly impressed. The trays stick when trying to slide them out and they sometimes slide all the way out when carrying set.

very clean set

Like others have said, the case could use an improvement. I was driving home with it and all the drawers opened. That is the biggest complaint. It holds a lot of different bits and tools so that is a plus. Kobalt is always easy to deal with and has a lifetime warranty.

Missed it by a mile!

They advertise that the sliding draws lock in position (not) and the 2nd problem is compounded by the first problem, the sockets just sit in there assigned holders not snap in! When the draw slide out , the sockets also fall out! Usually onto the floor! Kind of an epic fail if you ask me! I also have the older design tool kit and at least everything snaps into place... just not the draws!

Nice starter set

it's a perfect 1/4" drive socket set. My only complaint is the ratchet was built with a plastic directional switch. I was shocked when mine broke and now is useless. I'm pretty sure these come with a life time guarantee so I'll be happy once it's replaced. I'll update my review when I see if they honor it.
