Worked great on an unusual nut on wheel backplate
I had a 1 1/8 inch nut on my 68 Chevy pickup that I couldn’t remove. I used this impact socket with large breaker bar and pipe wrench on the back and got it off. Socket is still in great shape.

Perfect for Water Heater Anode Rod Removal/Replace
Would RecommendApparently all water heater anode rods use this size nut (1 1/16"), which is larger than what I have in my socket kit. I had a very stubborn anode rod. 1/2 inch drive provided adequate torque (and still small enough that I didn't have to buy a larger wrench/breaker bar). Used my standard 1/2 inch wrench with a pipe on the handle for leverage. Solid steel socket with 6 points...equals perfect fit and no stripping...and I kinda like the black matte finish. I will certainly keep this thing handy ...

Would RecommendUsed to remove 1 1/8 axle u bolts on Motorhome. Took the strain to remove and re-torque 8 bolts torqued to 250-300 ft lbs.

Would RecommendWas looking for a non-impact drive spark plug socket with foam cushion insert, but none to be found in 13/16. Found this and it worked fine, nice and strong to remove the plugs.
