Just What I Needed...

Needed this specific sized 1-3/16 socket to do regular maintenance use for my RV camper's hot water heater (drain plug). A minor complaint if any, was it was hard to find in the store, finally flagged a Lowes associate and he pointed me to the metal drawers where they were located. Otherwise this item should last me a lifetime.

Good Tight

Bought this to use with the 18" Kobalt breaker bar to bust loose a difficult to remove 15/16th mower blade flange nut. Heated the nut up with a heat gun and applied penetrant oil a couple of times and let it soak overnight. After cleaning off the nut the tight fitting socket and breaker bar got it loose easily.

Does what you ask it to

I used it to remove my water heater anode rod. It did the job!

Rugged Impact Socket

Since this item is well made, the outer diameter is greater than other chrome plated sockets. Therefore, it would not fit into the top of my hot water tank to replace the Anode Rod. Nothing wrong with the socket, had to use a smaller O.D. chrome plated socket.

Lug nut impact socket

While rotating my tires, my 7/8” impact socket split down one side. Had to finish the job with standard sockets (dangerous due to potential shattering of socket) Next trip to Lowe’s I searched for just that size socket (didn’t want to purchase another entire set). Kobalt Tools
