Bring back the flat double-door style case

This mechanics tool set has most of the tools necessary to do basic repairs to most anything. I added a Kobalt pliers & screwdriver set to complete it. I dinged it 1-star for the case. Although it works, it's clunky at best. And not all of the sockets are locked in, so if the case gets tipped over, you're playing match the socket to its spot. Good Selection of Tools

It has a good selection of tools; great selection of ratchets and sockets. I just wish it included pliers and wire cutters. Most of the socket holders are form-fitted that they snap in place, but some are not and could possibly fall out. The drawers are a bit finicky to open and close.

Got the Kobalt 232-Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Combination Polished Chrome Mechanics Tool Set for grandson. He loves it! My best Christmas present this year for the price.

Great Tool Set

Tools are good, box is okay. My tool set also had three sockets missing but I have extra ones anyways. Very good starter kit in the end. Definitely recommend on sale.

It was a good buy for the money. Tools so far are of good quality, I was disappointed in the tool box itself. I feels cheap, drawers are hard to open and close, latches have a fabric strap and metal buckle.

Good starter

It was great except I was missing 3 pieces. Lowe’s did offer to fix it but I changed it to something a little smaller. I wish it had better things in it for a house tool set. I wanted things like a tape measure, better screw drivers, level.... stuff I could use. The one I traded it for has a cloth case and I’m not sure I love it. I wish I could have a little of both mixed in one.

good selection of tools

I like the layout of the box for keeping the tools organzied. But ive had 2 of the three rachets fail within the first week ive had them. Luckly they have a lifetime warranty so i can return them.

Great Price for Great Tools

This was an exceptional deal (50% off ) on a set of great tools.

One latch missing and a socket missing, Seem ok.

Ordered online, received it and noticed right away a latch was missing. Hard to believe someone missed that when packaging it. Also one of the socket bags was ripped open and am missing a 5.5 socket. Not sure if this is covered under the warranty but i dont have a lowes close so it will be a while before I can exchange it. Overall it seems ok for what it is. Makes a decent truck/car tool-set with a few additional tools you can store in the bottom drawer.

Good value at sale price

The drawer system does not work well at all. Had to remove drawers and place them in my tool bench. The rachets are low quality.

Great set everything you need and more

I got this to put in the car so when we travel I will have what I need in case of a break down. This set is well made and has about every thing. I really like the tool box the way it holds everything in place and you have a extra dower to put the little tools that you mite want to have like pliers and maybe a punch or two. I even showed my daughter and she went out and got a set for her car also.

Keep in order

The case keeps most items in order with a few exceptions. Easy to locate sizes when open. Only problem I have is the tray holding the items is not sturdy allowing molded clips to bend, weaken and not hold items.

Amazing Product

Love these tools. They where all packaged separately and very neatly which made sure they weren't getting damaged during delivery by hitting one another. Would recommend this product 100%. Not what I expected

I purchased these tools because I needed my tools easy to find, use and store. The quality appeared to be satisfactory but that is where I started to question my purchase. The drawers were very difficult to get opened… Both metric and inch sockets were stored in the same drawers with no common sense pattern,,,, finally it was almost impossible for me to read the laser engraved socket size . The stamped Kobalt name and part number were no problem to read but to try to find the size and read it...
