WRONG DRILL BIT, LOWE'S
Would RecommendTHE drill bit I purchased was a Bosch Bulldog Xtreme 8 (8 cutter carbide head), 1/2"X6". I'm going to use it to drill 2 holes in the concrete cover of the opening of my concrete septic tank so I can install a ubolt to lift the top off the tank when having it pumped out. The original ubolt was cast into the cover and has rotted out. It's worrisome to me that Lowe's systems would identify the incorrect item as my purchase. And I'm a Lowe's stockholder!!

Would Not RecommendI had an aluminum tool box which I was adding onto my alloy steel headache rack. The small 9/64 bit for the pilot hole ripped thru the aluminum breezed thru the alloy steel and right thru the side rail of the bed, perfect. Put the new 1/2 in bit in right thru the aluminum hit the alloy steel and nothing a complete dead stop mind you this was the very first hole was using a cutting oil and wasnt over heating the bit but she just flat out refused to go thru the steel. So after much cussing I went ...

Long, brittle bits. Use only in drill press.
Would Not RecommendThey broke very easily when used in a hand drill. Might work okay in a drill press. They cost little and still provided decent value.
