Would Not RecommendI tried using two of these and neither gripped the gas pipe very tightly. I found that they loosened to easily
Useless
Would Not RecommendI have attempted to remove a pipe fitting with this so called pipe wrench, but it does not catch or bind or in any way engage the pipe. All it does is spin around the pipe that it is suppose to be grabbing. I think I will return it after this posting.
Works
Would RecommendNothing special, it's a tool that works as it was designed to do. Big enough to get the job done, small enough to fit the space. I'm totally satisified.
Does it’s job
Would RecommendI used this to loosen up a stuck tub faucet after I tri d all my other tools and elbow grease. This did the trick as expected. No bells and whistles, just a heavy, durable wrench to handale the jobs needing leverage and weight.
tried using it on 1/2" and 1" black pipe. would not grab(bite) and hold. will be returning it soon as possible
Kobalt 14 inch pipe wrench
Would Not Recommendthis is the second pipe wrench I purchased. it is not good. The first time I used it it has a keeper tab internal to hold the head of the pipe wrench and as soon as I went to with Justin the keeper came loose and made it very difficult to adjust I ended up having to move the keeper to adjust the pipe wrench which made the hit very loose and are to keep the adjustment setting. not recommended. Also the first rule not purchased ended up breaking the head with very little effort. although I do like...
Good Product
Would RecommendI needed this wrench to do some work on my water heater. It was the right tool. The Jaws gripped the 1 inch OD brass pipe, bot a good bite, no slipping and I was able to remove the other piece by myself. I was expecting to need help.
Pipe Wrench
Would RecommendIt's a pipe wrench, works the same as any other, name brand or off brand. Could of gone to Ace, Sears, Home Depot, Harbor Freight or Northen Tools. Lowes just happened to be the closest to the house.
Good Looking - Lousy Grip
Would Not RecommendI purchased the 10" and 14" wrenches today. Both performed poorly. Had a hard time getting them to grip where I needed on both pipe and fittings. The teeth are not sharp and have a tough time gripping. I;m not even 50% satisfied with these and usually don't return tools, but I will not use these again. I have to question if QA even tests these. I have several Kobalt tools, but I won't be keeping this one.
Pass on this one
Would Not RecommendThe grip is very poor on this wrench. I'm considering returning it.
Great for occasional plumbing jobs
Would RecommendI got this pipe wrench for my ongoing galvanized water pipe removal in my house. My tongue and grove pliers just couldn't get a good grip on some of the stubborn pipes. A pipe wrench with its wider grip was needed. The Kobalt pipe wrench grabs the pipe and if you have the strength (and maybe a pipe to slip over the handle) the pipe should come apart. The Kobalt's gripping teeth seem good and hard, so the wrench should last a few generations if you don't use it on a daily basis.
A bit pricey but great tool
Would RecommendI got this when my kitchen sink became clogged. It came handy and worked flawlessly with very good grip to undo caps at different external drains around my house. I love this tool. I'm planning to buy the 10-in and 18-in in the near future. I buy them with confidence knowing they are of good quality and have lifetime warranty.
good quality
Would Recommendnice heavy duty pipe wrench easy turn adjustment good quality
