Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 302 -Piece Metric and standard (SAE) Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case

Nice Kit-Right Price

I needed a replacement set for some of my sockets, this kit actually has it all and at a great price.

delivery box obviously was smashed open and retape

packaging box was smashed then reaped. 1 item is missing. to box must of busted open and delivery person must of tried putting the sockets ect back in. but nothing was in order and some was not in the right place and others were just not in anywhere just laying inside the box.

Small footprint/easy access

I have mechanic tool case in my shed and one in my car. I was looking for one to replace all the individual tools I had in my basement workshop. I liked and needed the advantage of the drawer system as opposed to the split open cases of my other two. It works beautifully on my work bench with easy access and a small footprint.

Tool box

Great set for the RV for emergency repairs or just sprucing up the place.

Low quality tool

I bought one of these sets before and it was pretty decent. This one is the worst. I’ve seen every ratchet. The gears broke out on them trying to just tighten it on tighten any bolts so that the ratchet just spin the actual socket heads actually stripped out on a 5/16 self tapper I’m just very very unhappy with this set. I’m going to return it now. Hopefully they don’t have a problem with that.

Great tool box for a great value

I had purchased this tool box a few days ago let me tell you it is amazing. I have used kobalt since I was a kid and the tools have never let me down so come to find out when I was just browsing the Belle Vernon Pa location a worker Named Seth told me about it so I jumped on it and this thing has already been used on multiple big jobs 10/10 would recommend this to my whole bloodline if I could and not to mention that customer service Seth was amazing and provided detail to finest amount I will d...

Awesome Collection of Sockets

I went to buy a few sockets and the price was adding up. I noticed this kit in a really nice display and thought that would replace all my missing and damaged sockets and a bunch I did not own. It was on sale and one was marked below the sale price. They honored the price so I had to buy it. It is not mechanic grade but for the average home, it is more than most people would ever use. I took the set home and blew it all appart, Allen wrenches in their drawer, new rails for the sockets and I...

missing tool

good set despite my 1/2 in drive missing how does that happen?

The latches are awful on the box.

Other than that this set is pretty stellar. Dig around for a long time. For a travel set, or a starter set, there’s nothing better. And the 90 tooth ratchets are legit nice. I’ve beat these up for a year and they are still perfect. About to go buy a second set for my junkyard runs.

Great Price Good Tools

Putting together a household tool kit. This socket set is a great addition.
