Just what I needed for stubborn, deep roots that couldn’t be pulled out by hands. Excellent ergonomic handle for comfortable grip. Pointy and sharp shovel so roots won’t escape.

Root Slayer, Yep

Tried digging a hole to plant some ornamentals but was stopped due to roots from large bushes. My spade shovel wasn’t doing the job. I used this root slicing shovel and it made quick work of the job. Way way easier to dig my holes and was very pleased with the purchase.

New Kobalt shovel

Just got this 2 days ago, to remove some perineals that were crowding out smaller plants. I am unable to help due to physical damage. My wife is 74 years old and has a sore back. I went to the porch 20 minutes aster she started, and she was done. Perfect extraction with nice root balls. She said it cut through the roots soooo easlly. Really happy we paid $10 more than another smaller shovel without the saw teeth sides.

Comfortable and effective

I really liked how sturdy, comfortable and effective this shovel was. I have a ton of really big invasive plants in my yard and this tool made light work of extracting them.

Great value for a specialized tool

This is a specialized tool for people who like to transplant things (particularly things with tough root systems) and it does the job well. I looked around and everyone with a similar tool was charging at least 20% more. It appears to be well-made, designed for pro-level usage. No complaints so far!

Cuts easily

This thing easily cuts through sod and small roots. Used it to peel back some sod to fix some low spots, and it worked great.

The best shovel to for digging in packed soil in order to plant or dig up unwanted plants. Very sturdy and heavy duty. The teeth are awesome cutting through roots.

Helpful tool
