Not very sensitive

My previous detector easily picked up voltage through drywall and switch plates. This one is not very sensitive at all and does not perform nearly as well. It probably performs as well as the detailed instructions indicate (within 1/4”) which is the only reason I didn’t immediately return it. I can only hope I find my old detector that I misplaced.

Good tester w/light

Works as it supposed to, I like the flashlight. Came in handy when I was doing some work in a low lite area

Voltage Tester

This Klein non-contact voltage tester has a built-in flashlight which is extremely handy when probing darkened areas. The duel settings make this tester very useful over a huge range of voltages. Highly recommended for the hobbyist or professional electrician.

It is a defective product I bought my second tester of the same brand but if I want it back I will return it.

Quit working

Was an effective tool for the first year. About a year in, the light dimmed and it wouldn't read. Swapped batteries and no luck.

If you dont know, dont guess.

Did what I needed it to. Helped test wires to make sure all lines were dead in a panel when I didnt know if my breakers killed power due to bad labeling. Got my dimmer installed and the wife is happy.

This is not a one trick pony.

Overall great product with several nice features.

Sturdy, well built, electrical testing device.

Bought a new one that I beat up over the years. The flashlight portion still works and I’ll keep using it. The new one works just as well for both functions. It is a well built product and I’m very satisfied with it. I’ll get another replacement if I kill this one.

Awesome tester

I’ve had this tester for years!! It’s been great does like it’s supposed to and the flashlight comes in handy a lot!! Also pretty strong from drops! Just recently broke the clip looking for replacement parts!! I would say that’s the only negative should sell replacement parts!!

Klein NCVT-3P

This is a go-to tool in my electrical test kit, especially around house wiring. While I don’t solely rely on any one test tool for overall safety, this particular tool helps give me peace of mind when checking and double checking to see if circuits are live or not.
