Poor service from Lowes and Kitchedaid

Bought a KitchenAid Refrigerator here. The ice maker broke within 2 months...it's been 2 months since breaking, and it's still broken. Waiting for a part, with no guess when it may be available. We contacted Lowe's and Kitchenaid neither of which offered a solutiopn other than waiting for a part. I don't want a refrigerator that cost $2500+ and breaks in the first 2 months. I hate this thing, and when repaired, I expect it will be fixed with the same crappy parts it came with. I would buy ...

I purchased this kitchen aid refrigerator on 3/6/2026 it was delivered and set up. On April 9,2026 I had to put in a service request as it was freezing everything in the refrigerator. My appointment was on April 17, 2026 fo diagnostics and another appointment was made for April 21, 2026x to fix said issue. The part is on back order so the appointment was canceled. Solid fridge but not 100% what we expected

Plastic difficult to remove and internal light is much dimmer than expected. Also, the bottom fridge drawer doesn’t open unless the fridge doors are FULLY open. I had to remove and adjust the door handles.

What really sold me was the large French doors. I wasn’t a fan of the models that had that in between pull out for drinks. I felt like it just took away space more than anything. The sliding part in the main fridge is pretty convenient as long as you don’t overload it with heavy stuff. Warning though, this fridge is deep so it will stick out more than a standard fridge but it’s what I wanted

Absolutely love the fridge. Much more room than our previous and looks exceptional. Better make sure you have a full 36 inch space for it though because it takes every bit of it.

Freezing everything

We have had the kitchen aid refrigerator for one month. Delivered on 3/5/2026 and after 2 weeks we started noticing everything in the refrigerator was freezing. The ice maker was working and then the water has stopped dispensing. We started the temperature at 37 which is the recommended temp. And are currently at 41 and everything freezes within hours of placing in fridge. I made an appointment to have it serviced at less than a month old. I thought I was buying quality.
