Gorgeous color with wonderful features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kitchenaid had just what I wanted in a toaster and in a color (Empire Red) that matched my Kitchenaid mixer and tools. The toaster is commercial quality and has all the features that I wanted in a toaster - wide slots, multiple shade choices, easy to clean crumb tray and the exterior of toaster.

Love this toaster! The color is awesome and it works really well too.

Good Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with the way this appliance toasts the bread but sometimes it’s difficult to keep the lever down when trying to toast. I hope it doesn’t stop working completely.

Beautiful Toaster, Not Beautiful Toasting Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful appliance but not acceptable results so far. The toast is inconsistent. It does not brown the bread evenly on both sides. The bagel setting is excellent. I don't know if this toaster is stuck on the bagel setting because the outside of the bread hardly toasts at all while the inside of the bread is dark or nearly burnt. It doesn't matter whether I toast one slice of bread or two. The results are the same.

Beware of refurbished items

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toaster as refurbished. It failed to lock in the on position and would not toast bread. In addition, there was considerable difficulty in returning the item. The automated return system kept rejecting my return information, and the customer return phone line operated in a very narrow time window

Nice size and color, but---

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the color and the compact size. What I don't understand is why one side of the sliced bread is golden brown and the other side is almost black and this is consistent with this toaster as well as the one I just donated. I am using a good quality white bread so I don't think that is an issue. The bagel feature is great and they come out perfect every time. It is the sliced bread toasting feature that I am not happy with.

Disappointing

I love the red color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not happy with my Kitchen Aid Toaster. I've used it about 5 times and every time I use it, I set the dial on number 1 except for the first time it was on 2. It burns the crust, and it is barely toasted in the middle. On the number 2 setting I had to cancel the toasting cause it over toasted it. I usually have no problems with Kitchen Aid products however this toaster isn't working like I hoped it would.

Beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for 2 months and absolutely love it.

This toaster is a piece of junk. Burns one side on the lowest setting other side isn't even brown. If I could I would not give it any star at all.
