Would Not RecommendThis dishwasher replaced a noisy but well loved, 34 year old Maytag, which I would have fixed, but a pump gasket was nowhere to be found. Below is a comparison: On the plus side, the Kitchenaid is much quieter, mostly nearly silent. But, the 3-4 hour cycles are ridiculously long. Cleaning is comparable or a bit better, but there is no drying fan, and even on the "Pro Dry" setting, some items are still damp and the tub is quite wet. Would RecommendThis KitchenAid dishwasher has been washing wonderfully and it's to be expected with 50 jets of cleaning magic. My old KitchenAid was great, but this one is even better. It was easy to install and fit perfectly under my counter space. So far so good!

Expensive Dishwasher That Keeps Failing
Would Not RecommendI carefully looked at reviews of all brands of dishwashers and selected this one. Not cheap. At five years, I've spent more than $400 to fix this dishwasher. First, the motor had to be replaced. Now it has overflow problems that cause error message E4 F8 and a musical alert that won't stop. Had to turn off the breaker to shut it up. Repair man has been here so often he is invited to Christmas dinner.
